Warner Fall Foliage

Since the late 90's, I have found myself in Warner, NH for their Fall Foliage Festival.  I grew up just a few towns north in a village that made Warner look like a cultural center of civilization.

I selected a few images from this year that caught my eye from another fun weekend.

One Busy Summer!

There is a complete lack of new content on this site and be fooled not, it has been a busy summer with trips to Hawaii and New England, a couple of wonderful court house weddings along with a magical union on a magical Maine Island and subsequent run from the impending hurricane.

First shoots at Senate offices and a White House Community Day along with wee ones, older ones and leaping athletes in between.  Yes, busy.  I have also been building out the new website that is oh-so-nearly done.  Oh, and then there was the daily hope that I can keep up with my nine year-old for one more year...

Here is a shoot from earlier in the week, because in the end, it comes down to the images:

Under Water

It took a couple of months to line up our schedules but I was finally able to collaborate with the talented Jessica Louise Dye, lead singer of the local band, Lightfoot on a pool shoot. We sunk a guitar and a tambourine along with the singer in a couple different outfits.  More of this series will show up on the website soon, but here is one for starters.  UPDATE:  More photos up here.

Montgomery County Fair

A quaint Tuesday evening at the fair didn't bring the camera out all that often but I did get a vicious look from a bunny and just before leaving, I peaked into the chicken barn and met a couple of hens that can only be described as gangster.

Byte Back Graduation - 7/27/2011

This is the third graduation I have covered for Byte Back and this was by far the largest,  170 graduates went across the stage, a sharp increase from this past spring.  In addition, classes for the first time were offered in Spanish and soon then will add American Sign Language.  It is amazing to watch this excellent non-profit grow.

Stephen at Naylor Court

I met up with Stephen at the only time our schedules allowed and we moved through a couple alleyways around Naylor Court to grab light that was moving in and out, from beautiful to difficult.  A storm was fast approaching and the sun would pop out,  just to hide a moment later.  He was getting ready for his first open call and wanted some time in front of the camera.  Not bad for just the two of us, on the fly for a total of 30 minutes.  While it is fun to have lights and modifiers (an assistant to hold a reflector would have been great)  I really enjoy having to move quickly and pull from a moment what you can.

Ugly Purple Sweater @ Bloombars

Ugly Purple Sweater is one of my favorite local bands and Sam has one of those voices I could listen too forever (he was also the focal point of the images because of where I was standing).  It is always great to catch them in such a wonderful place as Bloombars, the only drawback was we got their after Pearl and the Beard had finished up.
