Saturday afternoon in New Hampshire

There is an old saying in New England, if you don't like the weather, wait ten minutes.  While home for the Thanksgiving holiday, we were blessed with beautiful weather but none was more amazing then a couple of hours on Saturday afternoon.

A light mist in the morning froze solid

The same set of trees 25 minutes later

My son and his cousins continued their soccer match in the front yard.

Twenty minutes or so after the snow, while sitting near the fire, I look out the window and a rapidly changing sky.  I ran up though the trees to the field and saw these amazing clouds to the south...

and the setting sun to the west.

It was remarkable how the weather created such contrasting beauty.  In a span of less than two hours, the wind, the snow and the light ran us from deep blue hues and crystallized trees to monotone white out conditions.  The riot ended with approaching clouds that preached unspeakable violence while at the very same moment, and just a twist of the head, the sky was on fire just over the trees.
