Way, Way....Way out in a town so small the venue doesn't even put an address...

on their fliers.  The Purple Fiddle is a wonderful spot in a beautiful part of rural West Virginia and it indeed has these fliers that list the coming musical acts with the accompanied directions being, "Thomas, WV".  In truth, it is all you need to find the place and well worth the drive.

Playing last Sunday night was "The Spring Standards" and, in a night, they turned into one of my favorite live musical acts. All of them banged the drums (and did so well), harmonized, rocked, crooned, and swapped instruments. They were fun and also wrote some words that you will want to revisit. They clearly love what they do and enjoy each other.  You can see for yourself when they play DC at the Red Palace April 8th at 8pm.
